SUPERVISION

People in helping and counseling professions, such as doctors, social workers, educators, psychotherapists, coaches or mediators, are particularly often under psychological stress as a result of their relationship-oriented work.

The concept of psychological help for "social caseworkers", which originated in the USA at the end of the 19th century, subsequently gained a foothold in Europe. The psychoanalyst Michael Balint had a decisive influence on the development of supervision in the 1940s. In the "Balint groups", case discussions between social workers and medical professionals were intended to enable learning about unconscious processes and to absorb emotional overload.

The term supervision as such has been established since the 1950s.
Today, supervision is widely known and is now not only used in the social and counseling professions, but is also respected as an effective method of reflection in many other sectors.

Supervision promotes communication and social skills, teamwork and a sense of community.

With the help of supervision, your understanding of groups or "two-person relationships" and your ability to deal with social and psychodynamic events will improve.
Previous action strategies are reflected upon in detail and reformulated in line with your wishes. The process we accompany gives you the opportunity to develop and reflect on new patterns of action and roles.
