Numerous studies show that physical exercise - especially moderate cardiovascular training, strength training and yoga - has a positive influence on mood and well-being. Exercise can also effectively support the therapeutic process in the treatment of depression.

The Vienna Couch therefore recommends fitness training (endurance and strength) and yoga - both for prevention and to accompany therapy.

Important information for the start of training:

  • Training means stress for the body, but in the right dosage and with sufficient breaks it promotes your fitness and health.
  • Minor physical complaints should not worsen during training. We therefore recommend a physiotherapy check and an exercise ECG before starting training.

Based on these checks, our fitness cooperation partners create a personal training plan with you - tailored to your goals, e.g. weight loss, muscle building or fitness training.
