Group therapy is not only highly effective, but due to the significantly lower costs it is also an inexpensive alternative for working regularly and intensively on your own processes over the course of a year.
The group setting
In the group you will experience:
- Universality of suffering: you recognize that others have similar or the same problems.
- Strengthening self-esteem: You feel that your topics are important, that you are important to others and that you are needed in the group.
- Development of social skills: Empathy can be experienced, conflicts can be dealt with in an appreciative manner and constructive feedback can be practiced.
- Imitation behavior: You observe how others deal with similar challenges and discover approaches that may also be suitable for you.
In the WIENER COUCH groups, the focus is on all topics that arise in the here and now of the group. Typical focal points are
- Proximity and distance
- Bonding and relationships
- Autonomy and identity
The topics are dealt with using specific methods. A group is particularly effective if you experience all phases of the group process. You should therefore plan to attend the group regularly for at least a year.
General conditions
- Group size: Maximum of 14 participants to keep the dynamics manageable.
- Composition: Homogeneous groups for optimum effectiveness (scientifically proven).
- Admission: New participants may join after the first semester.
- First appointment: Serves as orientation and can be used as a "trial appointment".
