Trauma group with a focus on movement and emotion regulation with Barbara Fereberger and Ianara Belfor
Barbara and Ianara have been working together for two years in the field of PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) and body-oriented group therapy methods. In the group, she combines effective principles from neurophysiological research and known effective techniques for stabilizing our autonomic nervous system.
The ventral vagus nerve, responsible for security and relationships, is activated and our fight and flight system (sympathetic nervous system) is calmed.
Group discussions, breathing techniques and physical exercises aim to help you arrive safely and connected in your own body and to be able to access these states in everyday life. This makes it possible to act in a physical, self-confident and present way again.
In the group you learn:
- Regulating and intercepting fears via the body
- Experiencing anger and rage as a resource that gives us strength
- Bringing relaxation into everyday life
- Prevent exhaustion, dissociation and burnout
