Marlene supports clients with a solution-oriented and empathetic style of therapy.
Her studies at the Sigmund Freud Private University in Vienna were motivated by her interest in the complexity of the human psyche. In the course of her training, it was important for Marlene to work in the clinical psychiatric field, where she was able to gain experience that enriched her therapeutic work.
Cooperative collaboration and a relationship at eye level are the basis for Marlene's systemic work. It is based on mutual respect and appreciation of the other person's uniqueness and autonomy.
This involves a solution- and resource-oriented approach in order to work together with the client on new solutions. Resources are skills, ways of thinking, attitudes, characteristics, etc. that the client already possesses and which are used to achieve a (therapeutic) goal.
The difference to other therapy methods is that the life context and the constellation of the family of origin are usually explored at the beginning of a session. In systemic therapy, a therapy goal is worked out together, which can change again and again. Previous attempts at solutions are also taken into account and positively changed. Marlene is also happy to offer online sessions.
