Gabriela Jungreuthmayer-Einsle

Psychotherapist, trauma therapist

The trauma therapy approach has opened up new ways and possibilities for me to help clients regain more control and self-efficacy in their lives.

Traumatic experiences in childhood and adulthood can be the basis of many disorders such as anxiety, depression, compulsions, relationship problems and many more. Feelings of being at the mercy of others, of loss of control, of powerlessness, which can also be triggered again and again in the present. Clarifying these connections leads to initial relief, as they can better classify their experience and behavior. This leads to the feeling of "being able to do something". Activating and building up resources is the first step in trauma therapy, unexpected skills and potentials are uncovered, coping mechanisms are established and clients gain stability and security.

With the help of EMDR, the stored traumatic experiences that underlie many ailments and dysfunctional beliefs such as "I am to blame" or "I am not worth anything" are processed and the brain can re-store the memories with appropriate thoughts and feelings, freeing up strength and energy for the present.
