Procedure for clinical-psychological diagnostics
An examination by a specialist in psychiatry should always take place before the clinical-psychological diagnosis. However, a suspected diagnosis can also be made by your treating psychologist or psychotherapist, but should then also be discussed with a specialist. A detailed assessment of the symptoms and a recommendation for the next steps will then be made as part of the clinical-psychological diagnosis.
The clinical-psychological diagnostics (€150 for 50 min./unit) includes the following elements:
- 1 unit: medical history, exploratory interview
- 1-3 units: Specification of standardized diagnostic instruments (questionnaires, interviews, test procedures)
- 1 unit: Discussion of findings
- Initial consultation
The current stress and life history are discussed here. The diagnostic steps are determined on the basis of the interview. - Test dates
This is followed by several appointments in which standardized tests and questionnaires are used. As a rule, 3-5 appointments are necessary for this. - Compilation of findings and feedback meeting
The information collected is summarized in a written report, which is discussed in a detailed feedback meeting. All questions are clarified and the next steps are recommended.
